Chapelle Saint-Sébastien

Presentation

The Saint-Sébastien chapel, listed as a historic monument since 1921, is located in the hills above Dambach-la-Ville. It features a 12th-century Romanesque bell tower and a Romanesque vault housing an ossuary on the north-east side of the chapel.

Château fort du Bernstein

Presentation

Situated in the commune of Dambach-la-Ville at an altitude of 562 metres, this fortified castle was built during the second half of the 12th century and the first quarter of the 13th century. It comprises a pentagonal keep, a dwelling and a tower containing a chapel. Its ruins are fairly well preserved. It has been undergoing maintenance work since 2010 under the direction of the ‘Friends of Berstein’ association.
