Turckheim

Église Sainte-Anne

Presentation

The 5-storey tower is the only Romanesque vestige of this building. The base of this Romanesque bell tower-porch is flanked by two bays of the former south aisle. It was built at the end of the 12th century, during the late Romanesque period. It was restored in 1863 by the town of Turckheim. On its north side, there is a neoclassical nave, built in 1830 and replacing the one formerly on its west façade. The building has been listed as a historic monument since 1930.
