Église Saint-Arbogast

Presentation

The church is situated on a knoll, the site of a Gallo-Roman building. The four-storey tower and chancel are Romanesque. The nave was extensively altered in the 18th century, but an interesting Romanesque doorway (now walled up) leading to the cemetery remains on the south side. This consists of two jambs and a semi-circular sculpted lintel decorated with two symmetrical trees of Jesse (circa 1150).
