Only the chancel of Saint-Martin church dates from the Romanesque medieval period. The elevation and rich decoration of its chevet make us bitterly regret the lost parts of this building, constructed between 1215 and 1230. The lower part of the chevet has some curious, deep cuts. These are traces of the sharpening of winegrowers’ pruning hooks, a ritual practice probably intended to ensure a good harvest. <\/p>\n
