All that remains of the former parish church is the porch tower, dating from the very early 12th century. Standing on the Gloeckelsberg hill, it overlooks the Alsace plain from a height of almost 200 metres. Its gabled roof was transformed into a crenellated terrace in 1873 to serve as an observation tower. On each side, two geminated windows are pierced in the upper part of the third and last storeys. The rest of the church was demolished in 1829 and Blaesheim donated four superb columns with carved capitals to the historic monuments, which are now on display at the Mus\u00e9e de l’\u0152uvre-Notre-Dame in Strasbourg. <\/p>\n
